How we handle it in Whittier
Trenchless is not right for every line. Pipe bursting generally works best when the existing pipe is continuous without large sags or collapses. If the camera shows otherwise, we recommend open-trench replacement instead of forcing a method that will not hold.
Trenchless often needs less surface restoration, but it is not automatically cheaper, and most jobs still need a pit at each end. When your line qualifies for either method, you get both priced.
