When you need this
- Repeated backups after rooting or jetting
- Camera shows multiple cracks, offsets or a collapsed section
- Sags that hold water (a belly in the line)
- Old clay, cast-iron or Orangeburg pipe in poor condition
- Roots re-entering at several joints
How we handle it in Whittier
Replacement is a bigger job, so we show you the footage and measurements behind the quote. Cost depends on length, depth, what sits above the pipe (driveway, patio, landscaping) and whether the work reaches the street.
Street work adds permits. The City lists separate permits for the property-line-to-curb section and for cutting the street from the curb to the main, so we tell you up front which ones your job needs.
What is included
- Full camera inspection and a written scope
- Open-trench replacement with ABS or PVC, or a trenchless option if your line qualifies
- A new cleanout where needed
- All permits, including street-cut and lane closure when required
- Backfill, compaction and surface restoration
- Final video and Public Works re-inspection
